Woodlands Secondary Speech Day 2009
Boy, am I honoured but more priviledged than honoured to be invited for Woodlands Speech Day awards…I am very proud of our boys. These achievements are non-BB related, but a great way to encourage our deserving boys…
I’M TRULY AND TERRIBLY PROUD OF YOU!! Well Done Boys!!

GURU!!! It runs in the family.... his sister basically topped almost in all subjects in her level too!!!

Wisdom and Truth Awards sponsored by ARPC, for the most improved student in Woodlands Sec

My slacker top boy.. what an irony... but I'm very proud of you, Eye-power =)
More so, thank you Woodlands Sec, especially the teachers for nominating Sir Pan Yong, Sir Kian Peng and myself to be awarded the Friends of Woodlands Sec Award…

I’m sharing this award with all other officers who have toiled all these years with us.
This rightly belongs to all of you, Sir Chee Leong, Mdm Eva, Sir Govin, Mdm Betty, Mdm Irene Sir Harry,
Sir Eric, Sir Yongwei… and others who have worked hard..
It’s a great privilege… though I feel I do not deserve the award, but its God’s blessing in sustaining us as officers to serve our boys in this manner, to love them and care for them… thank you Father for your assurance provided through the institution under your charge…

BBAQ 2009 – New Accomplishment! A new milestone for 66th~!
Dear boys,
We rejoice and thank God for the wonderful achievements of our AQ boys 2009. This year, we trained hard for months, our boys came regularly and worked hard in their training. And we made it! Though only one team participated this year, it was indeed history!
For the 2nd time, we managed to complete the race, not only that, our boys finished it REAL early! The race started at 6am and they were at the end point by 2.15 or so, clocking about 7 plus hours. Well done!!! We applaud the good work!! So proud of you!
First time in history, I was not at end point earlier to receive our boys, what a waste!!! =( In fact, they called me to tell me the good news! haha.. Well, they had lots of energy after to talk… seems like they could go for another round..
And so… here’s what happened after the race..

Macs Treat.. for long race without much food...

Looks like all the seoul garden was digested before the race began
They had so much energy.. i think they ate more than 5 cows… the input was definitely more than output.
And guess what? They wanted more.. the first thing they asked for was pizza… sigh.. =P
So determined to get their pizzas that they were willing waiting for me.. hahaa.. not that they loved me a lot.. but they loved the pizza that was to come…

And so, here we are.. at Pizza Hut!

Sharing stories of the race.. hard work goes to everyone who made this possible
The boys LOST their BIKES again!!! We never learn from our mistakes, this happens every year…
The lesson that we should have learnt is to lock our bikes.
Thank God for the primers who were on standby and quickly rented the bikes and rode to them! We could have been half an hour earlier.
I told them, next year, I will tag our bikes with signs and pictures. stickers on Hello Kitty, Strawberry Shortcake, Powerpuff gals & Princess Diaries. I guarantee no one will touch the bikes, not only that, it will be the most prominent. hahhaaa..
Well, as we found out from Tian Sheng later, that the bikes were there, but some other teams sabotaged our team but placing their bigger sign over ours… sigh.. such a display of bad sportsmanship and sin! God forgive them!

Pizza Craze..

Enjoying the chezzy cheese pizza

Gluttons!!
Did you all realise that all the photos here are food-related?! No one will believe it’s actually AQ!!! hahaha.. Sadly, I do not have team shots.. and we are busy with eating, such a characterisitc of 66th Coy! (Or rather the 66th Club)
Well, they deserve it! With all the hard work, not just the team but the primers and some boys coming down to support our AQ team. Our primers not only solved our bike problem but ran with them to the ending point!!! I really saw team 66TH working together.
Of course, we do not forget our dearest captain, Sir Pan Yong without whom this will not be possible. Thank you for all the training for the boys for the past 3 months and all the hard work! Team, remember you owe Sir a big treat!!
Most importantly, we thank God for another victory won! A new milestone in our 66th history!
We’ll climb higher in 2010! AQ2010, here we come!
POP..
It was a new beginning for our recruits.. finally passing out to be privates… new format this year, besides passing out of our recruits, we gave out awards for best overall attendance(those who hit 100%) and we also organised the drill down competition for our senior boys..
I must say i’m really proud of you boys, after the quick rehearsal, i think you all did very well, you look neat, good, smart and nice!! Well done!!! Silent drill was done well too!

Nice...

Mr Gary Ong was here to lend his support and encourage our boys!!

Recruit and Drill Camp 2009
We has a wonderful camp over the recent weekend….
Let’s see what the recruits were up to…
This was what we found when we checked their bags….

Interesting generation.. one who's scared of the dark?!!

Doesn't the school provide toilet paper? Or is it that you have no confidence in the food?

Piracy is BANNED?!

At the meals table....

Learning what is means to be a BB boy… impressed by the help our senior boys give to our younger boys… i think it’s just so wonderful… well done Senior Boys!!

Learning to fit the harversack...

Trying on the uniform

I'm not looking like NPCC...

At drill camp, we had a mock drill down competition….

Well, our AQ boys are training hard… in preparation for their 20 plus km walk, they were forced to carbo load….

It's tasty!! It's nice!! It's KFC!!!!!

Yeah!! We keep our spirits up!!!
Recruits games …. i wonder what did Dennis indoctrinated in our boys… i bet they need to detox their minds…

Blow wind blow?!

Forfeit... =P

Ben, studying hard even during games, otherwise Sir won't allow me to be on POP....

Man, chicken dance?!
The KANGAROO COURT- where you take revenge on your friends!!!

Finally, a brand new year… lots of changes… we start with Lifeskills
It’s a brand new year 209!! Lots of changes in 66th! Our Primers’ Programme has kicked off very well, our old boys are coming back to join us! Praise the Lord…
Well, i have very few pictures this year… but sharing some pictures from lifeskills lesson… lots of things to learn from our boys…
Three different groups… three different behaviours…
The Goal: To stack up the cards together to form the tallest structure.
The Trick: Teamwork, no talking or communication, each boy has a different role to fulfil
Group 1: The newly appointed CSM (Li Quan), DYSM (Navindran & Jun Feng) group….

My CSM takes lead... good!!!

Building... and some of the boys like Yu Wee's a good support

My 2 DYSMs... Navindran taking more initiative and Jun Feng more supportive
The RESULT… though it fell towards the end….

Not bad.... i'm impressed
Group 2: The quiet and silent workers.. most of the boys are passive in nature, not too many leaders here, more followers…

Figuring out what to do...

Not bad....

More passive workers
Group 3: The Individualistic and consumeristic boys… group work? It’s better I do it myself… interesting… now you know why they are not my main leaders…Americanised…

Split tables?!

Isn't this supposed to be group work?!
Interesting characters.. well, our role as officers, to guide, mentor and instruct… it doesn’t matter who comes to us, but it matters who is made from us…
May God find us faithful in the shaping of these precious young lives! =P
